Why add to the already exhaustive list of weight loss books?
Well...

I walked into my first weight loss clinic at age 18. I was 5’2”, weighed 118 pounds and wanted to return to the 108.5 pounds that had been my weight only 6 months prior. This was the first time I thought I was over weight.
In my 20s and 30s I was able to stick to a diet for a while, but never really reached my final goal. Even then all of the weight, plus more, would return. At this point I was trying to lose 20 pounds.
In my 40s, my ability to stick to a diet became more difficult. But, over a 10 year period I was able to lose some weight ONCE! At this point I was trying to lose 30 pounds.
By my 50s, I'm 50+ pounds overweight. Sticking to a diet was almost impossible, yet I tried to lose weight almost everyday for eight years. I couldn't last one day without cheating, I would always have to sneak in a cracker, peanut, or piece of cheese.
I knew I was never going to give up. I also knew my will power and desire to lose weight were not enough. At this point I knew I needed a Spiritual Component to keep me motivated and help me succeed on my diet.
Here are my stories about how I stayed motivated and lost weight. My hope is that my stories will help you get traction while on your weight loss journey.

All books have a common theme. However, each book contains a specific story that addresses a different weight loss barrier that I had to face.
